Trauma and Injury Prevention Program

Injury is one of the leading causes of death and disability—and most injuries are preventable. Our Trauma and Injury Prevention Program works to reduce this burden through:

• Community education initiatives like Stop the Bleed, which teaches lifesaving bleeding control techniques.
• Quarterly Injury Prevention Learning Series, offering expert-led sessions on seasonal and activity-related injury risks.
• Collaborative outreach with schools, workplaces, and local organizations to promote safety and prevention strategies.

These programs empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to prevent trauma before it happens.

Trauma Survivors Network (TSN)

Recovery doesn’t end at discharge. The Trauma Survivors Network, a national initiative supported by the American Trauma Society, provides:

• Peer support and connection through forums and local events.
• NextSteps, a free 6-week online course that helps survivors build confidence and manage their recovery.
• Resources for families and caregivers, recognizing the emotional and practical challenges they face.
